Terms of Service

Last updated: May 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Praxer ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Praxer is a skill progression and practice tracking application. These terms govern your use of the web application and all related services.

2. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
  • One person may not maintain more than one account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. User-Created Content

Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create on Praxer, including skills, paths, exercises, concepts, and session data.

Visibility

  • Content you create is private by default — only you can see it.
  • You may choose to make content public, which makes it visible to other users in the same domain.
  • You can change visibility settings or delete your content at any time.

License Grant

By making content public, you grant Praxer a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content to other users of the Service. This license exists solely to operate the Service and ends when you remove the content or make it private.

4. Account Deletion

When you delete your account:

  • Personal data is deleted: your sessions, progress, preferences, and account information are permanently removed.
  • Public content may persist: skills, paths, exercises, or concepts you made public may remain available to other users who depend on them. Your name and identifying information will be removed from this content upon request.

This is necessary because other users may have built their practice plans around content you shared. We believe in being transparent about this — it is not buried in fine print.

5. Inactive Accounts

Accounts that have been inactive for more than 2 years (no logins, no session activity) may be flagged for deletion. We will attempt to notify you via email before any deletion occurs. You can prevent deletion by logging in.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is hateful, abusive, harassing, or discriminatory.
  • Post spam, misleading information, or deliberately harmful content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or conduct any illegal activity.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape or harvest data from the Service without permission.

7. Platform Moderation

Praxer reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms or community guidelines, and to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited conduct. We aim to apply moderation fairly and transparently.

8. Intellectual Property

The Praxer name, logo, and application code are the intellectual property of Praxer. Domain content (skills, exercises, paths, concepts, and guides) created by Praxer administrators is owned by Praxer. User-created content ownership is described in Section 3.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Praxer does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Praxer is a practice tracking tool, not a substitute for professional instruction. Always follow appropriate safety guidelines for your chosen activity.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Praxer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Praxer operates. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Contact

If you have questions about these terms, please reach out via the in-app feedback system or contact us at the email address provided on our website.
